Choose from four marvellous side bets in Free Bet Blackjack for a chance to win 250x your bet!
This game offers free 'Double Down' and 'Split' bets for an exciting twist on the classic Blackjack game
The aim of Free Bet Blackjack is to get as close as possible to 21, without going bust.
If you get closer than the dealer, then you win!
There is no limit on the number of players that can join the table but you only compete against the dealer.
Card Values
Free Bet Blackjack is played with eight standard 52-card decks.
Each player receives one card face-up once the betting period has expired.
The dealer will also receive one card face-up.
Each player will then receive a second card face-up and the dealer will receive a second card face-down.
Blackjack
If your first two cards equal 21, then you have Blackjack!
Blackjack beats all other hands.
Note - it is not possible to form Blackjack from a split hand.
Blackjack can only be achieved with your first two cards.
Insurance Bet
The Insurance Bet enables you to offset the risk that the dealer has Blackjack when their upcard is an Ace.
This bet costs one half of your main bet and is settled separately.
The Insurance Bet is applicable even if you have Blackjack yourself.
The dealer will check their downcard for Blackjack - if they do not have it then the game will continue.
If they do have Blackjack, then they win and the game ends.
The game will end in a push if you and the dealer have Blackjack - if this happens then your bet is returned.
Double Down and Free Double
You have three options if the dealer does not have Blackjack: Double Down, Hit or Stand.
If your first two cards do not equal 21, then you can choose to Double Down which will add an extra card to your hand.
The value of your original bet will be doubled if you opt to Double Down.
If your initial two cards equals nine, ten or 11, then you will receive a 'Free Double' which will add a 'Free Bet' to your original bet.
If you win the round, then the 'Free Bet' will be matched to your original bet.
You only lose the original bet if you lose the round.
Only the original bet will be returned if the game ends in a push.
Hit
Opting to Hit will add another card to your hand.
This option can be selected multiple times until you choose to Stand.
Stand
Selecting 'Stand' will hold your current hand as it is.
Split and Free Split
Choosing to Split will separate your hand into two separate hands, with a separate bet on each hand.
You can only Split if your first two cards are identical in value.
A 'Free Split' is offered if your original hand is not formed of two ten's.
The 'Free Bet' will be placed on the second hand, while the original bet will be placed on the first hand.
If you win the round, then the 'Free Bet' will match the original bet in value.
If you lose the second hand then the bet will not be lost.
No bet is returned if the game ends in a push.
Outcome
Going over 21 means that you go bust - you lose the round when this happens.
After the dealer reveals their downcard, they have two options.
If their hand equals 16 or less, then they have to Hit.
However, they have to Stand if their hand equals a soft 17 or more.
If the dealer's hand is the same value as your hand then the game ends in a push and your bet is returned.
Six Card Charlie Rule
If your hand contains six cards that equal 21 or less then you automatically win as per the Six Card Charlie rule.
The Six Card Charlie rule applies even if the dealer has Blackjack, although it doesn't if the dealer has Blackjack after Insurance was offered.
If you have a Split hand then each hand will be evaluated individually.
